It's not confirmed since neither are on Steam yet, but theoretically speaking, it should be possible to use the Itch version of the DLC with the Steam version of the base game. You'd have to figure out how to manually install it though.

To solve your problem, make sure to use the latest version of both the base game and the DLC, as it looks like you're using version 5.0 when version 5.5 has already been released. You'll need to delete all previous versions of the game, download and reinstall everything, then restart your PC.

I absolutely adored this, and Ren; and especially that there's a route where the MC can encourage him, cause I've been desperately wanting a VN where the MC isn't some innocent little flower. (I'm all ears to any recommendations from anyone for that btw)
One question though, there's 3 images in the gallery that just have "???" on them instead of "LOCKED" and I wanted to know if those were obtainable at current or still in the works/not fully added yet?
you have to continously choose to dismiss Ren during your first meeting in the library. Everytime the game restarts after you choose to block his number, you have to replay again and again until it takes you to a dark and dismantled version of the main screen! I hope that helps!
Unfortunately that has me still a bit lost since I got that main screen but they were still just "???" though I may have done it wrong when that happened since I think that might've been when they changed from "LOCKED" (not too confident about when they changed so that last bit is a guess lol). You have to click their discord and do like a 10 step process to verify your discord, THEN you gotta submit a ticket which you can't do until verifying. I get it has a lot of content warnings but its fr excessive in my opinion. I have gotten into bars for less lmao. Uninstalled bc as someone over 21 I don't have the energy for the verification process, its unfortunate that one wrong click cause the game to be inaccessable
They can literally get into legal trouble if they don't do this process thoroughly and carefully.
And the process isn't hard at all, it took me five minutes LOL. The only reason it took you so long is because you didn't have an existing discord account, from the sounds of it. Verification from discord is a completely separate thing, not their fault at all.

As far as I know you have to act cold and distant towards everyone since day one (obviously avoiding dead endings) til day five, also you gotta be creepy by choosing options where MC encourages Ren's behavior, or enjoys other's suffering. You'll know you did it right when Moth leaves you alone in the street to get into a random store on day 5 (Ren should not be there bcs you asked him to leave at the beach). Hope this helps you unlock it!

Have you tried tapping on it despite it just saying '???' because for me, it still has the questionmarks, but I can press it and see the images?
