A friend recommended me this last night, and oh my god, it was pretty enjoyable. (Made me do silly little scribbles based on some of the scenes that I have done kashdclkas) I think I fell in love with the whole game, the bgm, effects, dialogues, and the art.

So I made this account to ask for help. It could be my computer as it's the shittiest computer alive but I'm still curious Every time I play the game, It always crashes immediately when I am done talking to violet. I tried replaying it and it only crashes right when we finish talking, nowhere else so maybe it's something with my game? I also tried to redownload it and it didn't work. can someone help?
aaaa I'm so sorry to hear that! >.< This has never happened before so I'm not quite sure what the problem could be! Does the game give you any error codes after it crashes? If it does, then it most likely has to do with the game itself. Feel free to share a screenshot of it and I'll be more than happy to help find the solution! But if there are no error codes, then it might really be your computer after all ;n;
Some suggestions I can offer are: are you running the game on windows? If so, have you checked to see if your firewall might be interfering with anything? Have you tried skipping through the text and choosing different options? Did you use any special characters for your name? they might be interfering with the code (which it shouldn't, but it might be the case). Are you able to run low-end games on your computer? I don't think PC specs would be the issue since I created 14DWY on a shitty laptop as well, but it doesn't hurt to make sure ^^
Regardless, feel free to let me know if the problem still persists! (And sorry for the massive wall of text sjfhjf)
aaa Hi sorry for the late reply! it's pretty late where I am ;-; To answer some of your questions, I replayed and chose different options to no avail. I also had no special characters in the name. I checked my firewall and it doesn't seem to be the issue. While I haven't seen any error codes anywhere, I did notice I got a file named log in the files for the game after it crashed though. and I usually can run low-end games on it but that could also be an issue. ty for your help by the way :) if you need more information lemme know, and sorry if this didn't help much!

I love Ren and didn't know I had this strong of a thing for yanderes until playing this game myself, I knew what ending I wanted for day 1 and absolutely went for it when given the chance. :)
It has made my night twice in a row, it might become routine to play it every now and again until the next day is out

Hello! Yes, you'll always have to download the latest version of the game from itch.io whenever it comes out. Just delete the old one and replace it with the newer version!
I have spent the past 17 HOURS HYPERFIXATING ON THIS PLEASE SEND HELP
I'd like to type out a very wordy review of how this is exceptionally good for being able to pay anything you like or even just in general and the characters are yes and the 18+ scene is chefs kiss but I don't think I can stop scrolling through random facts about Ren on Tumblr for long enough to do so.
Hopefully this will make do: I bought it because I really like horror despite not being a fan of Yandere characters at all. Fully expected that I'd have a fun time creeping myself out and that I'd stay far away from the NSFW scene. Whoops turns out the Yandere guy is great and made me discover that I have a praise kink.
You could not have paid me enough money to even pretend to believe that would happen when I downloaded the game.
Okay, I never wrote a comment here because my stupid ADHD brain is usually doing what it does best and I just forget to leave thanks and feedback on games...

This is just so good! The writing, the art, the characters, the ambience, the choices, the pacing... it just WORKS!

Edit: After reading some more comments, I wanted to add that I personally liked the (percived) personality of MC. It´s more in line with my own and therefore felt more natural for me than the usuall "I´m a adorable cute slice of toast" or "Ima girlboss bisch baby, plz rescue me nevertheless now" type of (fem)MC (-male MC are slightly better but as AFAB NB I hardly find any good rep lol).
I also really apprecciated that the choices gave me options to play more pragmatic (e.g. nope away from the creep) but also made sure to let me climb on every red flag pole I could find. Sure, Ren is indisputably weird, even creepy and no one in their right mind would just invite someone so noticable unhinged in their home BUT
a) I actually did most of that stuff in real life (although ofc not with so obvious obsessive stalker guys - that said, please take care of yourselfs and don´t be a careless dum-dum like me.) so it didn´t feel too unnatural or out there for me and
b) I highly enjoy when games just let me make glaringly bad decisions AND let me see where it could lead to. That´s half of the fun in these type of games: to make the wrong decisions in a save enviroment and see what will happen. And by that I mean, let me play out the scenario (like in this game) and don´t just kill MC off within three sentences after making a "bad" decision (like in so many other games, IF you even get an option for a "bad" decision at all).
I can somewhat understand where people are comming from when they percive the MC as a bit unlikable and/or feel that the choices are somewhat unrealistic given that Ren is the walking, talking embodiment of a restraining order waiting to happen.
But personally I have to hardly disagree with that. For me everything worked very well inside the games own universe and I feel that trying for a more pragmatic or subtle approach would robb the game of a lot of charme and fun. I mean I get enough reality in reality, I don´t need all that much reality in my games tbh. I also disagree that every MC has to be as neutral as possible so they could function as a propper self insert. I played through so many games where the MC is as opposite of me as it gets and still managed to get entertained but the least fun where always the ones that tried to be as neutral and characterless as possible, so please let her have some personality.

Holy crap, that was amazing. Like, this game ticked so many of my boxes that when I finished I just kinda paced around in a pleasant daze, lost in thought like a lovelorn schoolgirl. I can't wait for more; I'm burning for it.

I don't know why the idea of Ren thinking he knows everything about the way Mc dresses, and then Mc showing up wearing the exact opposite is hilarious to me.
I played the visual novel and it definitively is my favorite thing ever now! It is such a serotonin boost, from the artstyle to the aesthetic, also had a blast reading the curious cat, can't wait to keep playing :DDD
when i first opened the game, i was amazed at how good it looked. the whole ui as well as the art looks AMAZING!! all the effects and the entire set up just thoroughly impressed me. i'm so excited to see how this will turn out, esp since i went down the route of "get out of my life, don't talk to me". ren's cute and i'm struggling to resist knowing that he's, well, a yandere. i can't wait for more!
