I'm loving the whole game, it's been a lot of fun!!! The variation in decisions is incredible... But now the fear I had of catching the end of day 3 in a ''dead end'' and not expecting it, I almost died, but it was a very good surprise BUT I'M VERY EXCITED FOR THE NEXT DAYS!!!
Hehe!! The dead ends actually change depending on how many times you get them!! Try getting another one in Day 2 before playing Day 3 again >:3 ...Ren will give you a hint on how to progress through Day 3!!
Best game ever, looking forward to updates! But I do have 2 questions! 1. Who is the black haired guy that looks similar to Ren, and is he apart of the game? 2. Is there any fan packs that can be purchased that bring like wallpapers of the characters, for PC and stuff? (Similar to the DDLC Fan pack, which brings the sound track, high-resolution wallpapers, and a concept art booklet)
1. The black-haired guy is [REDACTED], Ren's real self! They are part of the game — however you won't officially "meet" [REDACTED] until Day 7.
2. I'm not familiar with DDLC or its Fan Pack, but from what I can gather, no, 14DWY doesn't have anything like that. But many folks in the community often make fan merch for the game, and I also post official art and stuff on Discord, Twitter, and Tumblr ^^

There's already a ton of official lore on Tumblr, including small snippets on how Ren and Angel met, why he likes them, lore about his family and backstory, etc.
I can't, however, say when it will all happen in-game; as that's spoiler territory and I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for others. A lot of lore does come out eventually, but it's too early on for it to be revealed right now (we still have 11 more days to go ^^) Hopefully you understand!!

as a trans man, I really enjoy that this game lets you choose your pronouns and genitalia separately! I'm super excited for day 4 and all of the new outcomes that'll come with it <3. ren has me giggling and kicking my feetsies. (even though he's obviously a possessive creep)

As for the story, so far I enjoyed it!! There's an inconsistency in the NSFW scene on day 1, where MC tells Ren that it's their first time too but then in the next one, MC's monologue says that Ren is bigger than anything else they've ever taken... Where do they get experience from if Ren is their first time lol?? It's nothing major but it's just funny to me.
And I was wondering why when I rejected Theo's invite ended as a bad end...? Since in my perspective, I don't feel comfortable around Theo, as much as I like Elanor, I don't feel the need to force myself to be around Theo even though being around Ren is much more dangerous knowing how he is lol... So... I thought rejecting would be a good choice but then that came to bite back me with the jumpscare xD
So Ren, don't come to me and be jealous since this is also your fault, I have to accept Theo's invitation just to avoid your jumpscare. It would be funnier if there's an option "Fine. But I'm doing this for my own sanity." after I got the jumpscare end xD
Lastly, this is unrelated to the story, but I'm also on my way to making my own game with Renpy and I'm stuck on making a screen of player name input like yours. I wonder if you have any tips regarding that or any GUI-related on renpy? Or you can ignore this question since I don't want to burden or force anyone (^^;;)

As for the NSFW inconsistency: I've actually explained this here on Tumblr (cw for descriptive NSFW talk), but the tl;dr is that Angel might've used toys on themselves prior to sleeping with someone for the first time — also, they literally had Ren's fingers inside them moments before, which obviously wouldn't be bigger than his... y'know.... ^^
For the "Dead End" in Day 3: Also explained here on Tumblr! Despite there being a ton of choices available for the player, the overall storyline for 14DWY is extremely linear and follows a strict path. I'd have no way of connecting the plot of Day 4 with Day 3 since it requires you to go on Teo's date. If Angel didn't agree, Day 4 would just be them sitting around at home all day — which would be boring to read about from a player's standpoint ^^;
You do, however, get three different Dead End scenes depending on how many times you get them! Ren says something different each time, which I thought would make things more interesting and "worth" getting the Dead Ends lmao

I LOVE this game. I'm not even done yet (currntly on day 1) but the nsfw scene during day 1 kinda made my jaw drop?? I've never played a visual novel before with a nsfw scene but I'm definetely NOT disapppointed. Great work and the artstyle is so so cute!

simpery aside, I love the brief traces of [REDACTED] peeking out from behind the Ren facade… it's subtle, but thats what makes it even more entertaining when he does slip up. be it the curse words, his stuttering suddenly disappearing, the staggering boldness that contrasts with the timidness of his ren persona….. and that motorcycle??? Ren's true personality showing through never fails to make me giddy, it's so cool
honestly,, i can't wait for Ren to get fully comfortable with mc and seeing his [REDACTED] side 24/7 haha, the fact that I (as the player, not the char of mc) am aware that he's a 🚩 but am just letting myself be taken by him is…. hes too cute i cant ;;;;
btw, i just had to mention how much Teo got me clenching my pillow but like not in a good way, literally was YELLING at my screen for Elanor to RUN— ik im being a hypocrite for accepting Ren's toxic traits and not Teo's but Elanor deserves SO much better than this prick…… idk if the 'i can fix him' mindset can work this time… no, the fact that elanor doesnt even know he's like THAT at this point of time……

As for potential love interests (Teo and Conan): Ren is the main and only love interest for 14DWY — he's my red flag poster child lmao — but you will be able to get "romantic" endings with some of the other characters as well! However, it'll only be implied through the dialogue, and no one will be getting a fully fleshed-out "route" like Ren ^^; Mayhaps as a DLC in the far future?
And thank you for pointing out the spelling mistake!! It'll be fixed for the next update. I can also look into adding a customisable "status update" for Angel as well... We'll see >:3c

I'm in love with this game, your writing, and, of course, Ren. The day 3 scene when Ren gets possessive/dominant made me blush in real life xD I need to check your Tumblr to understand who this [Redacted] is, but if that's just a taste, I'm already addicted. The little changes in his dialogue and facial expressions convey so well what we, the readers, can see from the first meeting: Ren is hiding or changing some part of who he is.

This was honestly so good the writing is so well done along with the charachter art and story. I didnt expect to like Ren as much as I do honestly but here we are and I am not mad about it.
Granted I got the dead end at day three but I replayed some choices and maaged to fix it!

Day 3 dropped with great timing to keep me occupied while home sick. Thanks! Interesting to see all the new little details added, even in earlier chapters. And the little sticky note on the load screen is a nice touch of both cute and creepy, especially once I realized it could move... Yikes.
Not sure if you've noticed/had it pointed out yet, but there's a spelling error on day 3's dead end route- when you get home, "shrugging" off your jacket is spelled "shurgging". Also, I deleted the last version's files, at least I thought I got them all, but the old saves still showed up when I loaded up the new game. I liked the little touch of Ren welcoming us back if we used the same name as before, but I'm wondering where the backup saves might be getting created?
Anyways, this new update was fun to see play out in its different iterations. Makes me a little sad to realize each update comes every 6 months or so, and how long the last day might be in coming at that rate, but I know VNs are a lot of work, especially for one person. This one is legitimately good and I'm curious to see how this waiting trainwreck of a situation unfolds. Keep up the great work, please and thank you! And have a great 2024.

I wasn't aware of the incorrect spelling of "shrugging", but it's now been fixed and ready for the next update. So thank you for bringing it to my attention! As for the save files, Ren'Py stores them in a separate folder from 14DWY (usually in "%APPDATA%/RenPy/14DaysWithYou" for PC and "~/Library/RenPy/14DaysWithYou" for Mac), which you can freely delete (or move to your desktop if you want to be safe)!
As for the updates coming out very sporadically, there's unfortunately very little I can do about it ^^; I'm a full-time student with a part-time job and art as my main hobby, so 14DWY has always been a fun little passion project for me. I had no idea that it would become this popular, and had I known, I definitely would've done things differently and planned a better schedule. But I genuinely appreciate your understanding and patience!

Honestly, I enjoyed all of it so much! Even MORE of [Redacted] and his true colors (that was very HOT and HEATED omg >/////<. Once we get to see him fully in HD, we are going to explode ig). I like a lot how the real [Redacted] is domineering/possessive, and whenever Ren was gentle-direct, he was being genuine. Him cursing more in this day, and even having a different way of speaking was a really cool detail!! I wonder what would happen if we betrayed his trust and looked at him while he was shirtless….and now just can’t wait for a day we see [Redacted]’s tattoos, and tell him how hot he is with them lol
Anyway, I loved that we finally saw more of real [Redacted], he just stole the scene!
Also Day 4 is planning to be something interesting and I am all for it! We must protect Elanor at all costs and get rid of Teo….hopefully Ren can help us with that^^

Let's see...if you just want to see Ren cursing, I think you need to simply spend the night at his place during Day 2.
And to get a [Redacted] XXX scene (def not called like this, but it's the closest to his "scene" that we have currently lol) , you must get intimate with Ren during both Day 1 and Day 2. Then during Day 3 you will have the option "to sit on Ren's lap" once you invite him over.
1) You must get intimate with Ren during Day 1. 2) Go to Ren's place when there is an option given. 3) Later select option "Can you sleep in my bed tonight?"
Also all the intimate choices have the (+18!) label, to make them distinguishable.

The game is really amazing I love it, but I have a doubt if at some point there will be a Spanish version since several of the users are Hispanic (including me), personally it is a little difficult.

Hello!! I do actually have plans on creating a Spanish version in the future, but it's currently on hold because I constantly keep making changes to the dialogue in Days 1-3. Because of this, it would only be a pain for translators to keep updating ^^;

As for the NSFW inconsistency: I've actually explained this here on Tumblr (cw for descriptive NSFW talk), but the tl;dr is that Angel might've used toys on themselves prior to sleeping with someone for the first time — also, they literally had Ren's fingers inside them moments before, which obviously wouldn't be bigger than his... y'know.... ^^
For the "Dead End" in Day 3: Also explained here on Tumblr! Despite there being a ton of choices available for the player, the overall storyline for 14DWY is extremely linear and follows a strict path. I'd have no way of connecting the plot of Day 4 with Day 3 since it requires you to go on Teo's date. If Angel didn't agree, Day 4 would just be them sitting around at home all day — which would be boring to read about from a player's standpoint ^^;
You do, however, get three different Dead End scenes depending on how many times you get them! Ren says something different each time, which I thought would make things more interesting and "worth" getting the Dead Ends lmao

I LOVE this game. I'm not even done yet (currntly on day 1) but the nsfw scene during day 1 kinda made my jaw drop?? I've never played a visual novel before with a nsfw scene but I'm definetely NOT disapppointed. Great work and the artstyle is so so cute!

simpery aside, I love the brief traces of [REDACTED] peeking out from behind the Ren facade… it's subtle, but thats what makes it even more entertaining when he does slip up. be it the curse words, his stuttering suddenly disappearing, the staggering boldness that contrasts with the timidness of his ren persona….. and that motorcycle??? Ren's true personality showing through never fails to make me giddy, it's so cool
honestly,, i can't wait for Ren to get fully comfortable with mc and seeing his [REDACTED] side 24/7 haha, the fact that I (as the player, not the char of mc) am aware that he's a 🚩 but am just letting myself be taken by him is…. hes too cute i cant ;;;;
btw, i just had to mention how much Teo got me clenching my pillow but like not in a good way, literally was YELLING at my screen for Elanor to RUN— ik im being a hypocrite for accepting Ren's toxic traits and not Teo's but Elanor deserves SO much better than this prick…… idk if the 'i can fix him' mindset can work this time… no, the fact that elanor doesnt even know he's like THAT at this point of time……

also, the reactions of some other charas (specifically Teo and Conan when you call them up) has me wondering if there'll be love interests besides Ren? the 'sweetheart' nickname-drop from conan (i gasped) and teo's words alluding to him wanting mc to be jealous ab him… ig in a way both can be justified as being non-romantic, esp in the case of the latter with the reasoning that maybe he just gets a sick kick out of making mc jealous

As for potential love interests (Teo and Conan): Ren is the main and only love interest for 14DWY — he's my red flag poster child lmao — but you will be able to get "romantic" endings with some of the other characters as well! However, it'll only be implied through the dialogue, and no one will be getting a fully fleshed-out "route" like Ren ^^; Mayhaps as a DLC in the far future?
And thank you for pointing out the spelling mistake!! It'll be fixed for the next update. I can also look into adding a customisable "status update" for Angel as well... We'll see >:3c

I'm in love with this game, your writing, and, of course, Ren. The day 3 scene when Ren gets possessive/dominant made me blush in real life xD I need to check your Tumblr to understand who this [Redacted] is, but if that's just a taste, I'm already addicted. The little changes in his dialogue and facial expressions convey so well what we, the readers, can see from the first meeting: Ren is hiding or changing some part of who he is.

This was honestly so good the writing is so well done along with the charachter art and story. I didnt expect to like Ren as much as I do honestly but here we are and I am not mad about it.
Granted I got the dead end at day three but I replayed some choices and maaged to fix it!

There is no option to choose Ren's private parts, so you're essentially choosing your own genitalia in the character customisation screen!!
You can also change it at any time via the "⚠" icon at the top left of the screen (next to the current Day)!

Day 3 dropped with great timing to keep me occupied while home sick. Thanks! Interesting to see all the new little details added, even in earlier chapters. And the little sticky note on the load screen is a nice touch of both cute and creepy, especially once I realized it could move... Yikes.
Not sure if you've noticed/had it pointed out yet, but there's a spelling error on day 3's dead end route- when you get home, "shrugging" off your jacket is spelled "shurgging". Also, I deleted the last version's files, at least I thought I got them all, but the old saves still showed up when I loaded up the new game. I liked the little touch of Ren welcoming us back if we used the same name as before, but I'm wondering where the backup saves might be getting created?
Anyways, this new update was fun to see play out in its different iterations. Makes me a little sad to realize each update comes every 6 months or so, and how long the last day might be in coming at that rate, but I know VNs are a lot of work, especially for one person. This one is legitimately good and I'm curious to see how this waiting trainwreck of a situation unfolds. Keep up the great work, please and thank you! And have a great 2024.

I wasn't aware of the incorrect spelling of "shrugging", but it's now been fixed and ready for the next update. So thank you for bringing it to my attention! As for the save files, Ren'Py stores them in a separate folder from 14DWY (usually in "%APPDATA%/RenPy/14DaysWithYou" for PC and "~/Library/RenPy/14DaysWithYou" for Mac), which you can freely delete (or move to your desktop if you want to be safe)!
As for the updates coming out very sporadically, there's unfortunately very little I can do about it ^^; I'm a full-time student with a part-time job and art as my main hobby, so 14DWY has always been a fun little passion project for me. I had no idea that it would become this popular, and had I known, I definitely would've done things differently and planned a better schedule. But I genuinely appreciate your understanding and patience!

Honestly, I enjoyed all of it so much! Even MORE of [Redacted] and his true colors (that was very HOT and HEATED omg >/////<. Once we get to see him fully in HD, we are going to explode ig). I like a lot how the real [Redacted] is domineering/possessive, and whenever Ren was gentle-direct, he was being genuine. Him cursing more in this day, and even having a different way of speaking was a really cool detail!! I wonder what would happen if we betrayed his trust and looked at him while he was shirtless….and now just can’t wait for a day we see [Redacted]’s tattoos, and tell him how hot he is with them lol
Anyway, I loved that we finally saw more of real [Redacted], he just stole the scene!
Also Day 4 is planning to be something interesting and I am all for it! We must protect Elanor at all costs and get rid of Teo….hopefully Ren can help us with that^^

Let's see...if you just want to see Ren cursing, I think you need to simply spend the night at his place during Day 2.
And to get a [Redacted] XXX scene (def not called like this, but it's the closest to his "scene" that we have currently lol) , you must get intimate with Ren during both Day 1 and Day 2. Then during Day 3 you will have the option "to sit on Ren's lap" once you invite him over.

The game is really amazing I love it, but I have a doubt if at some point there will be a Spanish version since several of the users are Hispanic (including me), personally it is a little difficult.

Hello!! I do actually have plans on creating a Spanish version in the future, but it's currently on hold because I constantly keep making changes to the dialogue in Days 1-3. Because of this, it would only be a pain for translators to keep updating ^^;
