I love how fun your support characters are and that you let people besides MC have positive traits and/or look amazing in their art.
Do not love the fact that when i tried to join the Discord server and followed the steps to verify my age exactly as I was supposed to, the mod accused me of potentially stealing my own ID because I'm in my 30s, saying it could be a parent's, and demanded I post selfies to prove it's mine. Which goes explicitly against the otherwise posted rules that stated identifying info and/or selfies would not be asked for. And when I simply pointed that out and said that asking for selfies was asking for people to break anonymity, which I was not comfortable doing, the mod accused me of not being civil and said i can delete myself off the server if i wouldn't comply. When i attempted to respond from my notifications, the message didn’t send. Because the mod jumped immediately to kicking me off the server and blocking me.
Real nice mods you've got there. Extorting people for selfies, which in many *actual* adults' cases is problematic because their careers can be impacted for seemingly trivial things like liking otome games- especially ones with questionable love interests like a yandere. No, real adults know to protect their identities and not risk their careers in such basic ways. And the suggestion that someone in their 30s liking this game is sus and needs more verification is just plain ageist and unsubstantiated, given just how long otomes have been on the market and that the original target demographic is now aged well into their 50s and yet many still like the genre and look for new material.
Also, posting a selfie would do nothing to aid the situation because all it would confirm is I'm a real person. If all other info on an ID beside birthdate is blurred out, there's nothing to cross-reference to prove that's my ID. And going off looks alone? Well, in my case, that always gets me IDed with age restricted things because I supposedly look young for my age (like women are supposed to go to ragged hags after 25). When I'm running errands with my teen kid, people consistently jump to thinking I'm older sister/girlfriend, not mom. So what would posting a selfie do in this situation? Get me judged for "looking young" and be a subjective factor used to invalidate the objective proof of age that is the ID. It's illogical and a trap. And your mod, Lovebug, booted me not even for getting into all those details, didn't get the chance- but just because I pointed out that what they were asking me to do went against what was publicly posted for verification and broke the accepted expectation of anonymity.

I also want to say that I'm very sorry about what happened to you while you were in the server! But please understand that in the thee-ish years of running the server, the 14DWY staff team have had countless run-ins with minors trying to sneak their way in by using IDs belonging to their older siblings, parents, and even grandparents. Because of this, we've had to implement additional measures to ensure they can't get in ^^;
I'd like to clarify that the 14DWY Discord staff are in no way trying to be ageist just for erring on the side of caution, and they typically ask for additional verification as a precautionary measure to dissuade minors from joining a safe space meant for adults — as well as to discourage them from using someone else's ID without their consent or knowledge. We do not condone such behaviour, and we want minors to understand that what they are doing is wrong. You just (unfortunately) happened to get caught in the crossfire of it all ;n;
The server staff also do not, in any capacity, judge anyone based on their physical appearance, nor would they deny someone entry based on their personal interests or looks. They're merely being thorough in vetting who enters the server, as again, far too many minors have attempted to get in by using IDs belonging to someone significantly older than they are.
I also want to apologise again for how you were treated and the way your ticket was handled. I've since spoken to the mod about it. However, I do want to quickly clarify that there were no logs of anyone telling you to remove yourself from the server if you didn't comply. The only thing remotely close was the previously mentioned mod saying that "you [were] welcome to leave [the server] at any time" if you didn't feel comfortable with the verification method. I also have confirmation that none of the mods blocked you at any point — and it's likely you just don't share any mutual servers with them, which is why you wouldn't be able to view their profile or contact them. I'm not saying this to demean you in any way, but I just wanted to clear up any misconceptions you might've had regarding the server/staff, and how it might come across to those who aren't in the server (or don't have any context).

And you're condoning the bait and switch behavior and splitting hairs over wording. "You're welcome to leave if you're uncomfortable" is the same thing as what I said, just with a thin veil of polite wording. And it's demonstrable to be the same in action, not just theory, when instead of leaving the option open to me, or allowing me to speak with someone else, or any other way of handling things in good faith that wasn't extortion- I was *immediately* booted from the server because I did not unquestioningly comply.
At the end of the day, the plain and simple fact is the advertised rules are a lie. People's right to anonymity and protection of sensitive information is being demanded forfeit as an ultimatum to join the discord, based on an arbitrarily decided cut off for what age range is deemed sus for entrance. And if someone asks for the publicly stated rules to be upheld on your side of things, just as they themselves were doing by providing the initial verification, they get thrown out of the server. Which also means, because I'm not friends with any mods there, that yes- I'm effectively blocked and have no way to privately resolve it. Subsequently I could only come on itch and post a comment to try making you aware, because I made the mistake of assuming it was a rogue mod.
Fact remains, you're kicking people who asked for your mods to uphold your own rules. People posting their age verification with additional dating and writing the game name is cooperating with due diligence to keep minors out, and is enough to absolve you of legal responsibility. We all know teens may try to find ways around it, so that's when you boot the sneaks at the first sign of them having tried to pull shenanigans because something they posted insinuates they're younger than they claimed and provided evidence of. Since 14DWY is an offline game and doesn't use Wi-Fi, I have no way of pushing update pings or files to those who download it. So you'll unfortunately have to keep checking Itch to see if there's been an update ^^; Sorry!
Also... Discord does get early access to 14DWY builds, updates, and devlogs (since folks often spend money to boost the server or donate to my Ko-Fi, and I feel bad gsjhgs). However, it all gets cross-posted on Itch, Tumblr, and Twitter after a certain amount of time. So you don't need to join if you don't want to!
Are you talking about the black screens? If so, that's intentional. There's only one 18+ CG that you can get during Day 1. The remaining scenes don't have any.
By default, the 18+ scenes are locked behind sleeping with Ren in Day 1. If you don't sleep with him, you won't be able to view the remaining 18+ scenes. But if you choose the "Show all 18+ scenes" option, you'll be able to view all the 18+ scenes without needing to sleep with Ren in Day 1.
totally understandable!! however we players don’t know that or which choices lead to actual events, which is what makes it fun too! i save soo constantly so it’d be awesome to have more saves bcz of this :D
I love this game so much... never mind the fact i spent close to 15 - 20 minutes deciphering a cipher because i wanted to know what was said and my god it was worth it. I cant wait until the next update
Guys, i have really been struggling with how to enter the actual game. After that Login screen, where you put your name and prefered gender, i never know which key to press to get into the actual game. Sometimes it just works out but i never know what the trigger is, pls answer T-T

If possible, please provide screenshots so I can better understand your issue. I'm not exactly sure why there wouldn't be an arrow to take you back to the character screen or advance the game.
And yes, if you have older save files, you'll need to delete them (since most of the time, they're not compatible with the latest update).

hi i downloaded day 5 but game starts from day 1 even tho i saved the other days how can i keep playing from where i left :(
I'm assuming since the game is still in development, we'll have to start from the beginning every time:< till the full game is released.
Guys, i have really been struggling with how to enter the actual game. After that Login screen, where you put your name and prefered gender, i never know which key to press to get into the actual game. Sometimes it just works out but i never know what the trigger is, pls answer T-T

There is no other arrow T^T How do i enter after i adjusted the body parts, on the lasst "slide"? I already downloaded 14 dwy with day 5 and currently still have the prior version on my pc. Do i have to delete it in order to play, because i think i saw someone say to delete it in order to play day 5... IM SO CONFUSED ToT
If possible, please provide screenshots so I can better understand your issue. I'm not exactly sure why there wouldn't be an arrow to take you back to the character screen or advance the game.
And yes, if you have older save files, you'll need to delete them (since most of the time, they're not compatible with the latest update).
hey, i keep trying to do the bad ending but whenever I do or block Ren's number on day 1 i get this red text. How to "Remember of which i have forgotten"? After that text i get put back in the main screen. PLZ HELP💔💔💔
